About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Intern to support the development and organization of a new SharePoint site for a growing department. This role will focus on improving document management practices, creating standardized structures, and partnering with internal stakeholders to implement a user-friendly and scalable solution.

Key Responsibilities:

·Assist in the design and development of a new SharePoint site to support departmental needs

·Develop and document a standardized naming convention for files and folders

·Audit existing documents and systematically rename and organize them according to the new standards

·Collaborate with team members to understand document usage and organizational requirements

·Partner with IT to implement SharePoint features, workflows, permissions, and functionality

·Test site usability and provide recommendations for improvements

·Create user guides and documentation to support long-term adoption and sustainability

·Support data clean-up and ensure consistency across document libraries

And all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, IT, or a related field

·Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·Ability to manage and execute structured, process-driven work

·Excellent communication and collaboration skills

·Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SharePoint is a plus

·Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects

Preferred Skills:

• Basic understanding of document management or information architecture
• Experience working with file structures, naming conventions, or data organization
• Interest in process improvement and systems implementation
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
• A continuous improvement mindset.

Additional Requirements

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel as needed for work or training.
• Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
