Job Description

RTR (Record to Report) Intern

Your role in HEINEKEN

As an RTR (Record to Report) Intern, you will support the Finance team in financial reporting and accounting processes. You will gain hands-on exposure to account reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, audits, and process improvements, while developing a better understanding of HEINEKEN’s overall business and finance operations.

In this role, you will also

  • Support account reconciliation activities by matching general ledger accounts with sub-ledgers or statements and liaising with relevant stakeholders to clear open items.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and gain exposure to the overall financial performance of the business.
  • Assist in preparing internal reports and compiling financial data for financial statements, audits, and other reporting requirements.
  • Organise and maintain proper financial documentation while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Support external and internal audits by preparing relevant information and documentation.
  • Assist in documenting and improving Finance processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with Finance and other stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
  • Support projects, process improvement initiatives, and other ad-hoc assignments from the line manager.

Key Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
  • Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial data.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
