Bombardier is a global leader in aviation, creating innovative and game-changing planes. Our products and services provide world-class experiences that set new standards in passenger comfort, energy efficiency, reliability and safety. We are a global organization focused on working together with a team spirit.

Your boarding pass will include…

Several conferences, including:

  • Meet An Executive
  • Women Taking Flight

Learning more about Bombardier, including:

  • Bombardier Products conference
  • Visits of the Bombardier sites
  • Bombardier Academy of Learning

Many social/networking opportunities, including:

  • Volunteering
  • Networking for Success
  • 5 à 7, Potluck, and much more!

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of a full‑stack engineering tool used to model and manage system interfaces, functional exchanges, and integration data across complex aircraft systems.
  • Support implementation of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements while ensuring consistency, maintainability, and scalability of the software solution.
  • Capture, refine, and track development activities in the backlog, helping prioritize tasks and ensure alignment with engineering needs and project milestones.
  • Assist in defining and evolving the architecture of the solution, contributing to the integration of backend, frontend, database, and DevOps workflows.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and domain experts to translate engineering needs into tool capabilities, ensuring accurate modeling of components, functions, and data exchanges.
  • Support validation and testing activities across development environments (DEV, TEST), contributing to reliable and traceable deployments.
  • Contribute to documentation, user guides, and process definitions to support adoption and long-term maintainability of the tool

How to thrive in this role?

  • Develop a strong understanding of the engineering domain: learn how systems are structured (components), behave (functions), and interact (functional exchanges and data flows) to effectively contribute to tool development.
  • Take ownership of features and continuous improvement: proactively identify issues, propose enhancements, and contribute to making the tool more robust and scalable.
  • Work iteratively and embrace DevOps practices: follow development workflows across environments (DEV → TEST → PROD), ensuring changes are tested, traceable, and safely deployed.
  • Be comfortable navigating a full-stack system: understand how frontend, backend, database, and CI/CD pipelines interact to deliver end-to-end functionality.
  • Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams: engage with engineers, stakeholders, and users to understand needs and validate solutions.
  • Focus on clarity and traceability: ensure that data, features, and processes are well-structured, documented, and easy to understand for future users and programs.
  • Adopt a systems-thinking mindset: approach problems by considering interactions, dependencies, and system-level impact rather than isolated features.
  • Basic experience with full-stack development (e.g., Python/Flask, JavaScript/React, APIs, databases)
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with REST APIs and database‑driven applications
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines)
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments (Azure or similar)
