Job Description

Polymer Capital is an Asia-focused hedge fund platform. Our Risk Quantitative Analysis Department combines finance and technology, building cloud-native, AI-driven systems to support fund growth and risk management. Here, you are not just coding—you will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, AI applications, and financial quantitative analysis, while collaborating with colleagues across Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, New York, and Boston.
Internship OverviewThis entry-level internship is designed for students eager to build strong fundamentals in cloud services, AI tools, and FinTech. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will contribute to real projects, strengthen your technical skills, and gain exposure to the global financial industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned development and testing tasks under supervision
  • Learn and apply project structure, version control (Git), and deployment processes
  • Write clear technical documentation and unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Assist in developing frontend (React/Angular, TypeScript) and backend (C#, Python, TypeScript) modules
  • Participate in the design, maintenance, and optimization of cloud services and API architecture
  • Explore and integrate AI tools to enhance development efficiency and support financial applications
Core Competencies
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language or framework
  • Basic understanding of Git workflows and API concepts
  • Ability to perform debugging and feature implementation with guidance
  • Awareness of code quality standards and information security practices
  • Strong interest in cloud architecture, DevOps, and AI applications
  • Clear, respectful, and systematic communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures
