What You Can Expect

As a Revenue Assurance Intern, you will support our team in processing and monitoring customer tax inquiries, customer tax statuses/exemptions, and control reporting. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and exposure to tax certificate management, billing systems, customer service ticket review, and customer relationship vendor software. You will assist with reviewing tax exemption documentation for accuracy and audit support, researching and reconciling discrepancies between systems related to customer tax statuses, and helping ensure customer records are maintained in accordance with established processes and controls. This internship opportunity is based in Houston, TX, and spans three months, from September 2026 to December 2026. You will report to the Revenue Assurance Advisor.

  • Perform and report daily assessment of outstanding customer tax inquiries
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly execution of process controls

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be at least a college sophomore working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related fields
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • You have effective communication skills and collaborate well in team environments
  • Technical skills such as Power BI, SQL are nice to have

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy consisting of in-office and work-from home opportunities required (20–30 hours/week, depending on academic schedule)
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.50 - $32.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
