Job Description

Role and Scope of Position:

Participates in the development and implementation of regulatory policy related to state and/or federal regulatory proceedings in jurisdictions where the Companies operate. Actively involved in the formation, support, and implementation of regulatory initiatives.

The Regulatory Intern will provide administrative and document support to the Regulatory Projects and Compliance Team. Assists with the preparation, organization, and quality review of regulatory filings and related materials. This position provides exposure to the regulatory process while supporting the team with document preparation, filing activities, tracking and other administrative needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with the preparation and organization of regulatory filings and supporting documentation.
  • Formats documents for filing, including adding required headers, page numbering, and other filing information.
  • Assists with identifying and applying redactions to confidential or sensitive information in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs quality checks of documents to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting prior to filing.
  • Maintains and organizes regulatory documents and electronic files within established repositories and SharePoint sites.
  • Assists with tracking regulatory filings, deadlines, data requests and other team deliverables.
  • Supports document management activities, including file naming, saving, uploading, and maintaining appropriate versions of documents.
  • Works collaboratively with Regulatory team members to support day-to-day activities and project needs.
  • Keeps supervisor and team members informed of progress, questions, or issues.
  • Performs other administrative and regulatory support duties as assigned.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and industry-related legislation pertinent to the business area

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to understand complex information, problem-solving skills, business acumen, analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn document management systems, SharePoint, Adobe Pro and other regulatory tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program. Business, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

$72,990.00-$81,100.00
