Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Support the Public Relations team in generating positive consumer and trade media coverage for Hearst Magazines brands and business initiatives
  • Monitor press coverage and compile clear, insightful recap reports
  • Create, update, and manage targeted media lists
  • Assist in planning and executing editor appearances and speaking engagements, including interviews, panels, keynotes, and broadcast segments
  • Conduct research and draft talking points to support media opportunities
  • Identify new press targets and speaking opportunities to expand brand visibility
  • Provide on-site PR support for events as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of PR initiatives

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • Demonstrated interest in publishing, media, communications, and public relations, particularly within culture, entertainment, and lifestyle spaces
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Creative, curious, and collaborative mindset
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PhotoShop
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Based in New York City with a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week in-office



The hourly rate for this role is $20 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
