Philips Capital Intern

The Philips Capital Intern works closely with the Philips Capital team and is responsible for supporting development and implementation of financing solutions for channel partners, end customers and to support financing initiatives. The incumbent engages with other team members, financing partners and other stakeholders for smooth delivery of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in financing, financial analysis, and at least a basic understanding of supply chain management and process optimisation.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Work in close association with Philips businesses across the Indian subcontinent with a focus on developing financing solutions to support business for the Health Systems, Sleep & Respiratory Care and Personal Health businesses. You shall be responsible to support the identification, analysis, structuring and implementation of various financing solutions. You shall team up with other colleagues across functions to deliver on financing solutions in sync with business requirements and suitable financing sources.

Your role:

  • Support development of one or more financing initiative(s) by collaborating with different stakeholders, demonstrating strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Manage day to day activities, typically involving strategic, operational and/or administrative tasks etc. to meet dynamic environment and continuous improvement goals, exercising autonomy within established procedures.
  • Conduct research on relevant topics and areas as requested by the manager/supervisor by investigating current trends, industry best practices and competitive landscape to provide insights and support the strategic direction of ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Analyse data related to specific projects as requested by the manager/supervisor, identifying significant trends, patterns, and anomalies, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing innovative ideas and strategic input, while also capturing detailed minutes that accurately reflect discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring effective communication and follow-up within the team.
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of reports or findings for internal and external stakeholders as required by supervisor, ensuring that all findings are presented with utmost accuracy and clarity.
  • Organise/ maintain departmental documentation by systematically categorising and filing records, reports, other documents to ensure they are accessible and retrievable, thus enhancing operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends, developments and best practices and learns technical skills related to industry, exhibiting a commercial and growth mindset.

  • Education Pursuing bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or accounting.

  • Strong communications skills to play proactive and collaborative role to manage customers, and/or peer group managers across sales, services, finance, supply chain, etc.
  • Ability to develop relationships and a network across both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on financing solutions that deliver tangible business impact.
  • Work under limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance to drive business growth and compliance.

You would work in close association with Philips teams across the Indian Subcontinent, and across the globe with a focus on developing and structuring financing solutions to support channel partners across the Health Systems, Personal Health and Sleep & Respiratory Care businesses. Philips Capital contributes to the growth of Philips by actively developing and providing financing solutions for its customers across these businesses.


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
