Job Description

Westrock Coffee is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Packaging Label Design Intern to support packaging and production operations through the design and maintenance of case labels using CodeSoft software. This role will assist in creating, updating, and managing barcode labels, shipping labels, and product identification artwork to ensure production accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple product lines.
 
Job Duties:
  • Design, edit, and maintain case labels using CodeSoft software.
  • Create barcode layouts, shipping labels, and product identification labels for production use.
  • Verify label accuracy including product codes, lot numbers, expiration dates, and regulatory information.
  • Support packaging updates and revisions for new and existing products.
  • Maintain organized digital files, templates, and label documentation.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to troubleshoot label formatting or printing issues.
  • Ensure labels meet company standards, customer specifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with testing and implementation of updated label formats on printers and production equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging and labeling processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree or certification in Graphic Design, Packaging Technology, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of label design software or graphic design programs preferred.
  • Experience with CodeSoft or barcode systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of barcode formatting and label printing processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or packaging environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical or formatting issues.
  • Basic understanding of production workflows and inventory systems.
