About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Assistant
Director Safety and Flight Operations Consulting, Middle East and Africa region,
the Intern – ORAT Project Assistant, Consulting, is responsible assisting with
the planning and preparation of operational trials.
The ultimate goal of
the ORAT program is to ensure that people, processes, systems, facilities, and
stakeholders are fully prepared so that Terminal 4 can begin operations safely,
efficiently, and with minimal disruption from the first day of service.
ORAT (Operational
Readiness and Airport Transfer) is the process of preparing a new airport
terminal for opening by testing and trialing all operational processes, procedures,
systems, facilities, and staff.
An Operational Trial
is a full-scale simulation where volunteers, airport staff, airlines, and
stakeholders perform realistic airport operations to verify that the terminal
is ready to open safely and efficiently.

What your day would be like

Assisting with the planning and preparation of operational trials.
Organizing trial equipment, materials, and logistics.
Supporting the Trial Manager during trial execution.
Coordinating with stakeholders and participants.
Collecting operational observations and documenting issues.
Recording trial results and preparing reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Supporting post-trial debriefings and follow-up actions.
Performing administrative and operational tasks required to ensure the successful delivery of the ORAT program.

We would love to hear from you if

Completed a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in aviation, airport operations, and operational readiness projects.
Previous internship, volunteer experience, or involvement in university projects is an advantage but not required.
Availability to support operational trials, including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend activities when required.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads efficiently.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to collect, analyze, and present data in a clear and organized manner.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing operational requirements.
Basic understanding of airport operations or project management principles is an advantage.
