Mission
- Optics Discipline Intern is accountable for the Optical Deliverable in his/her scope to ensure the success of the task
- His/her scope could include: all or part of the Optical Simulation , design and Optical Analysis report
Responsibilities
Accountable for :
Responsible for Initial Optical Design of the optical system with good sense of Efficiency
Support product technical architecture gives proposals to ensure the competitiveness of Valeo Offer.
Ensure application of optic rules and procedures of the existing design and on going projects..
Provide technical support to Senior Optical Engineers by assisting them in Optical reports, Specific simulations and design iteration
Preparation of Optical Study report in accordance with standard guidelines.
Passing the training courses needed to obtain the required knowledge.
Perform or support Optics design calculations
Conducting basic optical feasibility study – like Geometric Visibility, optical systems , Regulatory requirements
Participating in Optic Design Reviews and also Cross Functional teams reviews.
Skills
Strong Understanding of optics and photonics fundamentals and an ability to clearly convey an understanding to others.
Knowledge of Optical principle involved in Lenses, Collimators and Light guides.
Knowledge in any Optical simulation software.
Good Understanding of Raytracing
Clear Understanding of Light Sources and Materials physics
Applying the Environment Safety and Security procedures and good practices; know for their activities and the activities of subcontractors the potential risks and their consequences. Be attentive and responsive to them and manage the associated action plans.
