Job Description

Working alongside a professional team in the Group’s Head Office based in Hong Kong, we are seeking an Intern, Operations Finance to join the team.

The role will support key financial processes including annual budgeting, system transformation initiatives, and operational performance reporting. The intern will assist in preparing profit & loss and capital expenditure templates, conducting data checks and analysis, and supporting various reports that inform management decision making across the Group’s portfolio. This internship offers hands on exposure to core Operations Finance activities, financial systems, and data driven insights within a complex hospitality group environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the Operations Finance team in preparing and maintaining Excel-based budget templates for operations P&L submissions and capital expenditure planning and tracking
  • Prepare and support group financial reports and analysis
  • Support budget system transformation and process enhancement initiatives
  • Perform detailed data validation, self-review, and reasonableness checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial submissions
  • Contribute improvement ideas to enhance quality, efficiency, control, and usability of finance templates, reports, and processes
  • Provide day to day support to the Operations Finance team on ad hoc tasks and initiatives as required

General Requirements

  • Basic understanding of core finance concepts, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Capital Expenditure (Capex)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required; advanced Excel capability (e.g. pivots, lookups, logical formulas) is preferred, with ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical mindset, with attention to detail and willingness to work with large and structured data sets
  • Good time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills, especially during peak budgeting periods
  • A proactive, flexible, and can-do team player with willingness to learn and support multiple workstreams
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to liaise with team members across finance and operations
