What does the Non-Linear trading Team do in ING?

Non-Linear trading is part of the Financial Markets division in ING.

W e trade/make market in Options and structured products linked to i) interest rates and ii) Credit spreads.

What would you be doing?

  • Assist the Non Linear Fixed Income trading and structuring desk in its day to day activities through ad-hocs projects and analysis and get an insight on Interest rates and Credit options and volatility trading.

  • You will get exposure to the trading and risk management of Fixed Income exotic products.

  • You will provide analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity and proactivity to complete various projects that help optimize the desk operations and performance. Coding skills would be a plus.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.

  • Self-driven in learning and process improvement

  • Intermediate understanding of Global Financial Markets

  • Basic understanding of derivatives

  • Strong command of Excel (VBA is a big plus) - e.g. nested logic functions, lookups

What would you gain from this internship?

An indepth understanding of risk management within the rates trading environment as well as the processes involved in hedging risks profitably within mandated strategies in an efficient and compliant manner.
