Job Description

As an Intern (m/f/d) in the Charter Fleet Management department, you will assist the team in handling ship delivery and return processes, execute the daily operational tasks that arise after charter contracts are signed and contribute to various internal projects. You will act as a coordination point for damage claims and gain insight into the full lifecycle of chartered vessels within a global shipping leader.

  • Assist in the execution of ship delivery and return processes
  • Process daily operational tasks following the conclusion of charter contracts
  • Coordinate internal handling of damage claims within the department
  • Support the preparation and follow‑up of charter documentation
  • Participate in cross‑functional internal projects and improvement initiatives
  • Enrolled in a university program related to maritime studies, business administration, logistics transport economics or a comparable field
  • First practical experience in shipping, logistics or freight forwarding is a plus but not required
  • Self‑motivated, structured and reliable working style
  • Hands‑on mentality with the ability to take initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Very good written and spoken communication skills in German and English
