Job Description

This is a 1-year internship based in our Malabe Office - Our team operates on the Standard Shift - 9 AM to 6 PM (Sri Lankan Time) to support global business operationsRefer Hybrid Working | LSEG for more information on our ways of working.

The Pre-Sales & Account Management Intern will support the MIT team in delivering high‑quality client engagement, sales enablement, and account management activities within the financial market's technology segment.
This role provides hands‑on exposure to the sales cycle, customer relationship management, and solution positioning for a global technology organization.

Working closely with senior team members, the intern will assist with research, preparation of client materials, coordination of internal workflows, and analysis to support revenue growth and customer retention efforts. The role is ideal for someone looking to build foundational skills in commercial strategy, financial technology, and client-facing business operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sales & Pre‑Sales Support

  • Assist with the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, and proposal documents, including gathering inputs from internal stakeholders.

  • Support the development of presentations, demos, and client‑facing materials.

  • Conduct basic research on client profiles, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to support account planning.

Account Management Support

  • Help maintain account documentation, customer records, and CRM updates.

  • Support the coordination of internal teams to ensure timely responses to client queries.

  • Assist in tracking customer engagement activities and follow-ups.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

  • Help monitor billing and invoicing queries, escalating issues to the relevant teams.

  • Contribute to improving team processes and maintaining organized workflows.

  • Support data analysis for identifying opportunities, potential risks, and areas for client expansion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with product, marketing, and technical teams to gather information needed for proposals and client interactions.

  • Participate in internal meetings to gain understanding of sales strategy and account planning.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
