About the Role
The Legal & Compliance Technology team supports corporate and law firm clients by combining legal and regulatory expertise with technology, data analysis, and process optimization. Our work helps organizations manage compliance obligations, investigations, regulatory reviews, technology-enabled legal operations, and data-driven workflows. As an intern, you will gain hands-on industry experience and mentorship while working alongside seasoned professionals within our framework.
This internship is designed for current students eager to build a career at the intersection of law, regulatory compliance, data analytics, and technology. You will support, coordinate, and participate in document reviews, compliance projects, and data analysis under the guidance of senior team members. In addition to traditional workflows, you will assist in data categorization, semantic modeling, and quality assurance processes.
The internship program will be for a period of 8-12 weeks.
What You’ll Do
Project Support & Execution
Technical Execution: Assist the team with hands-on tasks to support corporate or law firm client mandates and technology-driven legal operations.
Project Management Mindset: Develop a rigorous and detail-oriented approach to help spot minor errors, data anomalies, or potential risks during routine processing and review tasks under close guidance.
Compliance Research & Analysis
Information Synthesis: Learn to gather, organize, and synthesize data from multiple sources under supervision to help generate reports for analytical workflows and support data classification pipelines.
Project & Compliance Support: Assist the team in conducting compliance assessments by reviewing relevant laws, regulations, and industry policies.
Data Analytics: Use various tools to sort, clean, and analyze foundational datasets under guidance to support ongoing investigations or compliance research workflows.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, LLM, JD, or PhD program in Law, Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
Work Eligibility: Candidates must be authorized to work in China without the need for visa sponsorship. Interns who perform exceptionally may be considered for a permanent role upon graduation.
Languages: Fluency in English & Chinese required, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Prior coursework, academic projects, or internships involving data privacy, document review, or corporate compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, ABAC, export controls, sanctions, or AI governance) are a strong plus.
Mobility: Willingness to travel to client sites or internal offices if project demands require.
Communication: Strong foundational ability to distill complex data or concepts into clear, simple verbal and written insights with guidance from senior team members.
Technical Aptitude: Solid proficiency or a strong willingness to quickly learn Windows environments and Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, and basic data manipulation).
Adaptability: Eagerness to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and work flexibly across diverse teams under tight, client-driven deadlines while learning on the job.
