Job Description

Intern - Knitting

Based at Noyon Lanka, Biyagama

Noyon Lanka, originally a joint venture between a French lace company and MAS Holdings, is a global leader in lace design and production. With design libraries in France and Sri Lanka and production facilities across Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and China, Noyon creates unique lace designs for international brands. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly department reports using Advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Monitor knitting machine and supporting equipment performance and provide analytical insights for productivity improvement.
  • Support Industrial Engineering activities related to efficiency measurement and performance tracking.
  • Create data visualizations and presentations that communicate operational trends and findings effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and reporting methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
