Job Purpose
The IT Data & Analytics (Program Analytics) Intern supports the team at Liliʻuokalani Trust by assisting with data preparation, analysis, and reporting projects. This internship provides hands-on experience connecting data sources and transforming information into insights that support organizational strategy and performance.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, the intern will:
• Gain practical experience connecting, querying, and preparing data for analysis.
• Strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills through real-world data projects.
• Develop foundational skills in dashboard creation and data visualization.
• Build confidence in communicating insights through clear summaries and presentations.
Essential Responsibilities
• Assist with connecting to and preparing datasets from databases, spreadsheets, or internal systems.
• Support basic data querying, cleaning, and validation under team guidance.
• Help create and update dashboards, reports, and KPI summaries.
• Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends or patterns.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
Other Duties
• Adheres to internship program guidelines and supports department needs as assigned. Completes a variety of tasks that provide broad exposure to departmental workflows. Actively builds new skills, strengthens existing abilities, and applies learning to real world projects and responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a Engineering, Business, IT, or related degree program.
• A "data detective" mindset—you enjoy finding the "why" behind the numbers.
• Basic comfort with Excel; exposure to SQL or Tableau is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule & Location
• Estimated timeframe: June–July 2026
• Weekly schedule: 35–40 hours per week
