Now 20+ years strong, Kargo has offices in NYC, Chicago, LA, Dallas, Sydney, Auckland, London and Waterford, Ireland.

Who We Hire

Techies who want to build the future. Creatives who want to design it better. Communicators to win business. Collaborators to build it. Data pros who turn numbers into insights. Product builders who turn ideas into innovations. Anyone eager to be on a team that doesn’t stop to ask what’s next, because they’re already building it.

Mission

As an Interactive Design Intern at Kargo, you will help create and build engaging, high-impact ad experiences—working on motion, rich media, and emerging formats across all screens - mobile, desktop, and TV. You will collaborate with designers, developers, sellers, and strategists to concept ideas, design assets, and support live campaigns while learning how interactive ads are crafted from idea to launch.

The summer internship program runs for 10 weeks from June 3 to August 9. All internship positions are paid. This will be a full-time internship with up to 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday with the expectation of 4x in the office.

What You'll Do

  • Learn Kargo’s ad tech platform through product deep dives, understanding how ads are designed, animated, and delivered across screens
  • Shadow and support the end-to-end production of cross-screen creatives, from design and build through QA and delivery
  • Own and execute live ad campaigns and an intern design project from concept to launch with guidance from the Ad Design team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Media Strategy, Sales, and Client Services on campaign execution and brainstorms
  • Ship and present meaningful creative work for real campaigns or pitches, contributing to team goals and creative excellence

What You'll Learn

  • Industry tools & workflows — Learning the ins and outs of tools such as Asana, Celtra, Adobe Photoshop, and more!
  • Motion & rich media design — including animation, transitions, and interactive states
  • Stakeholder collaboration — Working effectively with Client Services, Media Strategy, and Sales
  • Iteration & feedback — Refining designs through reviews and client feedback

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design or Media (e.g., Graphic Design, Art Direction, Advertising), with a strong foundation in layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy
  • Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in interactive, motion, and emerging ad formats
  • Comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects preferred), with Figma and video/motion experience as a plus
  • A clear communicator who can articulate ideas, collaborate across teams, and incorporate feedback
  • Detail-oriented and ownership-driven, taking pride in your craft and following through on commitments
  • Organized and adaptable, able to juggle multiple projects while adhering to team processes
  • Motivated, self-directed, and not afraid to ask questions or dive into new challenges
