The IET GTS Deployment Team supports the timely and compliant global deployment of Field Service Engineers, ensuring alignment with immigration, labor law, visa, work permit, and tax requirements across multiple countries. As a Deployment Operations Intern, you will support the deployment process by coordinating international assignments, maintaining deployment data, and assisting with mobility and compliance activities. You will gain valuable exposure to Global Mobility, international operations, and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.

During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects while developing your professional and technical skills.

You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) culture of Baker Hughes, as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the review and validation of Field Service Engineer assignment documentation.
  • Assisting with the collection, tracking, and organization of visa and work permit documentation.
  • Supporting the analysis of country-specific immigration and deployment requirements using internal guidelines and processes.
  • Coordinating with Global Mobility teams and external immigration service providers to support deployment activities.
  • Maintaining deployment databases, records, and key performance metrics to ensure data accuracy.
  • Preparing deployment status reports and updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting operational projects aimed at improving deployment processes and compliance activities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an international environment to ensure successful deployment execution.
  • Learning and using internal systems and tools to support daily operations.
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Law, Economics, Business Administration, Human Resources, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Have a strong interest in international operations, global mobility, compliance, and immigration-related processes
  • Have an interest in data analytics, data science, and AI-powered tools to support analysis and process improvement
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are considered a plus.
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information.
  • Be proactive, eager to learn, and able to collaborate effectively within a global team.
  • Be able to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly. The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
