• Review assigned HVAC work orders and supporting documentation for warranty eligibility and completion status.
• Confirm whether available parts and labor warranties were registered or acquired.
• Identify missing information, documentation, serial numbers, installation details, or vendor actions needed to complete warranty registration.
• Update the HVAC Warranty Excel tracker accurately and consistently, including status, follow-up dates, vendor responses, deadlines, and results.
• Contact and follow up with vendors to request outstanding warranty documentation or registration before eligibility deadlines expire.
• Escalate time-sensitive or unresolved cases to the appropriate BIDS team member or manager.
• Continue the cost-reduction and fund-recovery tasks currently performed by the existing intern within the HVAC Warranty Project.
• Prepare periodic progress summaries showing work orders reviewed, warranties obtained, pending actions, avoided costs, and funds recovered when available.
• Increase the percentage of eligible HVAC installations with confirmed warranty coverage.
• Reduce missed registration deadlines and prevent unnecessary future repair expenses.
• Maintain a complete, accurate, and auditable warranty tracking workbook.
• Support continued cost avoidance and recovery of funds for the business and its investors.
• Deliver a clear handoff of open cases, results, and recommended next steps at the end of the internship.
