Background
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core principles at UNDP: we value diversity as an expression of the multiplicity of nations and cultures where we operate, we foster inclusion as a way of ensuring all personnel are empowered to contribute to our mission, and we ensure equity and fairness in all our actions. Taking a ‘leave no one behind’ approach to our diversity efforts means increasing representation of underserved populations. People who identify as belonging to marginalized or excluded populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Learn more about working at UNDP including our values and inspiring stories.
UNDP does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, any kind of harassment, including sexual harassment, and discrimination. All selected candidates will, therefore, undergo rigorous reference and background checks.
The world is facing a collision of crises that are becoming increasingly protracted and complex. In this evolving landscape, the traditional, siloed approaches to aid are no longer sufficient. Now, more than ever, collaboration across humanitarian, development, and peace (HDP) actors is not just an aspiration – it is an operational imperative.
The UNDP Crisis Bureau is at the forefront of supporting countries to build resilience against these shocks. Central to this effort is the HDP Nexus Academy, a global centre of excellence for learning and practice. Born from a shared commitment to bridge divides and foster more coherent responses to crisis, the Academy has become the platform where ideas spurn collaboration, and where a new generation of leaders comes together to learn, reflect, and act. The Nexus Academy is part of a larger learning initiative of UNDP, the Crisis Academy
Through its three pillars – Learning, Community, and Action – the Nexus Academy is shaping a shift in mindset: from short-term, siloed responses to long-term, integrated, and locally-grounded solutions. As we look to the future, the Academy is pioneering innovative tools to support this mission, including the development of an AI-powered knowledge platform, NexusMind, to transform curated HDP knowledge into actionable intelligence for practitioners worldwide.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated intern to join our team and contribute to this exciting work.
