Summary
The Human Resources Intern will provide support for our Human Resources Department. This position will be a paid internship and provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment across various HR functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Creating and editing job descriptions
- Mail out certification badges
- Process incoming mail and scan to the People Operations inbox
- Assist with onboarding presentations
- Support the HR Specialists with the daily functions
- Other HR related activities and projects
- Lead project meetings and makes presentations
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
- Uphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactions
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations
- Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Possesses advanced oral, written, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to effectively adjust to changing priorities and situations
- Must be detail oriented with a strong focus on accurate data management and organization of information and daily tasks
- Proficiency with electronic communications including e-mail as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and employees across the organization
- Proficient with computer and electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Required Education and Experience
- Office experience preferred
- High school diploma
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree or pursuing a bachelor’s degree related to Human Resources or a similar field of study
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively with employees at all levels using a customer service approach
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of HR concepts or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
