The Baker Hughes 6 months Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or recently graduated, to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

We are offering an internship opportunity within the GTS Upgrades Operational Excellence team, focused on driving process standardization, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives across Global Upgrades Operations. The selected candidate will support projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing governance and reporting practices, and promoting the adoption of smart tools and digital solutions to enable data-driven decision making.

The intern will contribute to process optimization activities, performance monitoring, and strategic initiative deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices. In parallel, the candidate will support the development of operational dashboards, training materials, and communication initiatives designed to strengthen organizational capabilities and accelerate tool adoption.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain practical experience in Operational Excellence methodologies, including Continuous Improvement and Lean principles.
  • Develop knowledge of business process standardization, governance frameworks, and performance management practices.
  • Learn how digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions can support operational efficiency and business transformation.
  • Build analytical skills through data collection, reporting, KPI monitoring, and insight generation.
  • Enhance project management and stakeholder communication capabilities through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Understand how strategy is translated into execution through portfolio management, reporting processes, and operational reviews.

This internship will provide hands-on experience in operational excellence, business process management, continuous improvement methodologies, digitalization, and project governance within a dynamic and global industrial environment.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in Operational Excellence, process improvement, and digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, or similar digital tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international environment.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.

The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
