Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) is seeking students for our 2027 Summer engineering intern program for positions in Power Delivery Operations. The program is designed to attract, develop, and retain high-potential college students. Upon graduation and successful completion of our program, participants may be eligible for consideration for a full-time position within one of DESC’s core businesses.
Students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of electric operations through the delivery of electricity from the power plant to the end user via transmission lines, substations, and distribution systems. This experience will help prepare students upon graduation to compete for entry-level, professional positions in the utility industry.
Power Delivery Operations is responsible for the construction and maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment within distribution, transmission, and generation substations. This work includes the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of breakers, transformers, switches, control equipment, and other substation components.
