Job Description

The Intern reports directly to the Superintendent, Services. The Superintendent, Services may
delegate this reporting function as deemed necessary. The role begins with assisting Supervisors in
services with daily tasks and gradually progresses to more advanced responsibilities, including
preparing reports that summarize confined space attendant utilization, services request application
performance, mobile equipment utilization, and procedure development. The intern will also
undertake a project aimed at enhancing efficiency within the Services confined space attendant
dispatch. This position provides exposure to all aspects of the shipyard facilities services team.
The intern will receive guidance on the project’s essentials and access to necessary resources to
successfully complete the task.


Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based in the operations
center of 50 Pemberton Ave.


What you’ll do

  • Data entry of confined space attendant logs to digital format.
  • Reviewing documents for continuity across services trades.
  • Reviewing mobile equipment utilization.
  • Supporting the Development of detailed process maps for services functions.
  • Produce system maps of various tools and machinery for standardization.
  • Perform other administrative duties such as organizing meetings, note taking and booking
    rooms.
  • Conducting basic research for projects or presentations and preparing briefing documents
    or summarie
  • Perform additional ad-hoc analysis and other duties as assigned.

  • Currently enrolled in a 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate program in manufacturing engineering.

We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $28.00/hour.

Start Date of Internship: Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.
End Date of Internship: Friday, April 30th, 2027 (8-Months).
