About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Head Enterprise Architecture, Financial Services, the
Enterprise Architecture & Governance Intern will join IATA's Enterprise
Architecture team and support the administration and continuous improvement of
IATA's Enterprise Architecture practice.
The intern will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the
Architecture Review Board (ARB) and support the management of IATA's Enterprise
Architecture platform (Ardoq). This role provides a unique opportunity to gain
hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, technology governance, business
capability modeling, and digital transformation initiatives across a global
organization.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested
in the intersection of business, technology, data, and governance.
What your day would be like
You will be an integral part of the Enterprise Architecture team, and
your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the coordination of Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings, including scheduling sessions, preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, decisions, action items, and governance outcomes.
- Assisting with the administration and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture platform (Ardoq), including updates to architecture repositories, metadata, ownership information, and lifecycle records.
- Helping maintain traceability across business capabilities, applications, technology platforms, projects, and architecture decisions.
Supporting data quality reviews, repository cleanup activities, bulk updates, imports, and validation exercises. - Assisting with the preparation of architecture governance reports, dashboards, and metrics related to ARB activities and architecture repository health.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of architecture documentation, user guides, reference materials, FAQs, and training content.
- Providing first-level support to architecture stakeholders by helping answer questions related to governance processes and architecture repositories.
- Assisting with onboarding activities for new business domains, applications, capabilities, and initiatives within the architecture repository.
- Supporting communication and stakeholder engagement activities aimed at increasing adoption of Enterprise Architecture practices and tools across IATA.
- Preparing
presentations, visualizations, and supporting materials for architecture
governance forums and leadership updates.

We would love to hear from you if
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Have graduated within the last 12 months or are completing the final year of your studies.
Strong interest in Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, Technology Governance, or IT Strategy. - Familiarity with enterprise architecture repository platforms (Ardoq preferred) collaboration and productivity tools such as Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with data analysis, information management, process documentation, or business analysis through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities is considered an advantage.
- Interest in enterprise systems, business processes, application portfolios, and technology landscapes.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with stakeholders from different business and technical backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in English.
