The Failure Analysis Intern will work alongside experienced failure analysis engineers to support root cause analysis activities on digital and analog semiconductor devices. In this role, the intern will gain hands-on experience in a laboratory environment performing device preparation and analysis techniques such as package de-cap, X-ray inspection, CSAM, and bench-top electrical testing and programming. The position provides the opportunity to develop practical laboratory skills using various test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, source meters, function generators, and network analyzers. The intern will assist in verifying customer-reported failure modes, documenting analysis results, and providing updates to the failure analysis team. Regular communication with engineers is required to ensure proper device de-processing and testing procedures are followed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.
Ability to work part-time while attending college/university, as this is a long-term internship.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated team player who demonstrates professionalism and aligns with company values.
Experience working in a laboratory environment is preferred but not required.
