The role supports theEHS functionin pharmaceutical operations by learning and assisting with the management of environmental impacts (waste disposal, emissions, hazardous materials), emergency preparedness, and incident investigations. It contributes toaudits, inspections, and assessmentsto drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and supports implementation of departmental objectives and projects, helping to ensure overallsafety and sustainabilityacross the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Learn about managing environmental impacts of pharmaceutical operations, including proper waste disposal, emission reduction, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
Learn and support emergency response plans and procedures for events such as fires, chemical spills, and natural disasters.
Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and support corrective and preventive actions.
Support audits, inspections, and EHS assessments to identify gaps, implement best practices, and enhance EHS performance.
Contribute to the implementation ofdepartmental EHS objectives, programs, and projects.
Support the EHS team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with company standards and regulations.
Education & Skills
Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental) or EHS-related qualificationsor coursework preferred
Interest inEnvironment, Health and Safety (EHS)and sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry.
Basic understanding ofengineering principlesand their application in industrial/plant environments.
Awareness or willingness to learn aboutenvironmental regulations, waste management, and hazardous materials handling.
Analytical mindset forincident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Attention to detail, strongsafety mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate withEHS and cross-functional teamsto support safe and sustainable operations.
