As a Buyer, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.
As aDirect Materials Buyer Intern, youwillbe responsible forvalidating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and the respective internal partners and customers You will be conducting strategic sourcing initiatives,planand implementnegotiationsusing supplier and industry analysis,benchmarkand cost management.Through managementof the category strategy, you will also be building trusted partnerships with internal customers, drivingbest-in-class, cost,supplyand resilience.
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing: Implementprocesses to monitorstakeholder satisfaction with key suppliersRecommendtargets to enhance value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasingefficiency, customerservicesand supplier managementAnalyzesourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories Participatein supplier segmentation and strategic goal-settingDevelopcategory strategies for managed categories and validatestrategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and internal partners.
CostManagement& Analysis:Identifyandevaluatecategory-specific savings/revenue levers. Drivecategory savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets. Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders . Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace
NegotiationLead orparticipatein negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc. Leadsourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation. Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations. Developa contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and create, negotiate, monitorand enforce contracted terms and conditions. Conductstrategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and cost management using supplier and industry analysis.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with Team members to Deliver Strategic Solutions. Develop andmaintainexpertisein the assigned spend categories through relationshipswith key customers. Drivecustomer-centric approach to solving issues and representingProcurement. Develop andmaintaincollaborative partnerships to enhance cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
Cannot graduate prior to September 2026.
Strong negotiating and analytical skills
Preferred Requirements:
Strong communicationskills.
Ability to effectively manage relationships with various individuals involved.
Comfortable working with data and learning new tools
