Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

• Prepares and welcomes patients for dental hygiene treatment, briefs them on the profession, and updates their medical history for staff review.
• Performs thorough head and neck exams for cancer screening, selects appropriate materials and equipment, and ensures infection control.
• Administers dental hygiene services, including radiographs, periodontal and dental charting, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatment.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene techniques, provides preventive care (sealants, impressions), and offers clinical and administrative support while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements:

You must have:

• an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene degree
• 1 – 2 year related experience
• experience coordinating a team of people in academic, research and clinical settings
• sound conceptual knowledge of dental hygiene and ability to integrate theory into practice
• demonstrate clinical competence as a professional dental hygienist and an effective role model
