MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, business analytics, management information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field graduating later than August 2026. The Business Analyst Intern will support IT and Change Management initiatives through business process analysis, development and refinement of Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and by partnering with business subject matter experts to support technical enablement needs. The role may also support responsible use of AI capabilities, including Copilot usage, agent or automation development. Other opportunities may include leveraging HTML and analytics skills to enhance Oracle Guided Learning content, assess active guided learning assets, and identify opportunities to improve system adoption through data‑informed insights.
Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy industry and will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned through college to real‑world business and technology needs.
The position is temporary, nonexempt, and full‑time/hourly through the summer.
Provide support to the Change Management Office and IT management at Berkshire Hathaway Energy.
Assist in the analysis and documentation of business processes, procedures, and system interactions supporting IT and Change Management initiatives.
Support the development and enhancement of Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including:
Provide data and analytical support related to project intake, workinprogress tracking, and operational reporting.
Support continuous improvement efforts by tracking actions, documenting outcomes, and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.
Support responsible use of AI capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot usage and basic AIenabled automation or agent workflows, to improve productivity and insight across IT and Change Management processes.
Assist with Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) enablement activities, including HTMLbased content updates, inventory and analysis of active OGL assets, and reporting on usage or adoption trends.
Assist with documentation, job aids, and knowledge transfer materials to support sustainability of tools and processes.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Must be a current college student, sophomore status or higher, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, business analytics, management information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
Must be available to work May–August 2026.
Must be able to operate electronic systems and databases to extract, sort, and analyze data.
