As an intern, you can join us in advancing hearing aid research and innovation. As part of that, you get the opportunity to support impactful research that contributes to the development of hearing solutions tailored for Singaporean English. You will work alongside the Sound & Audiology (SIG) Singapore team, gaining hands-on experience in hearing aid research, speech analysis, automation, and testing while contributing to projects that support future hearing aid development.

What you will do

  • Support hearing aid research through planning, execution, analysis, and reporting activities

  • Collect and analyse Singaporean English speech samples for research projects

  • Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts for speech sample analysis

  • Assist with hearing aid performance evaluation, testing, verification, and hardware measurements

  • Maintain hearing aid hardware, accessories, and research documentation to support efficient project execution

  • Collaborate closely with the Sound & Audiology (SIG) Singapore team and provide regular progress updates to relevant supervisors.

What you bring

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Audiology, or any related fields

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as C++, MATLAB, or Python

  • Strong interest in hearing aids, audiology research, and speech analysis

  • Eagerness to learn new skills and contribute to a collaborative research environment.
