Context

Within the Commercial Team, you will support the Origination team and contribute to the development of commercial activities.

Working alongside Originators, you will contribute to client management, commercial performance monitoring, reporting activities and business development initiatives. This internship offers exposure to energy markets and commodity trading activities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your Mission

As an Assistant Origination Intern, you will:

• Produce, control and distribute daily pricing and market information services to clients;
• Support the management of flow business clients, including:
• Order execution follow-up;
• Analysis and monitoring of business results;
• Production of commercial and sales performance reports;
• Preparation of client activity reports;
• CRM data maintenance and updates;
• Conduct ad hoc qualitative studies, data analyses and statistical reporting according to business needs;
• Support the commercial desk in the development of marketing offers and client solutions;
• Participate in the preparation of commercial pitches and presentations in both French and English;
• Contribute proactively to improving processes and supporting the growth of commercial activities.

Hard skills

• Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite:
• Excel (including VBA);
• PowerPoint;
• Word;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Ability to analyze and interpret business and market data;
• Excellent written and presentation skills;
• Knowledge of financial and commodity markets would be an asset.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (or equivalent Bac+4/5) in a Business School, Engineering School or University;
• Specialization in Market Finance, Marketing, Strategy or a related field;
• Strong interest in trading floor activities and energy markets;
• Previous internship experience is appreciated;
• Knowledge of financial and physical derivatives markets is a plus;
• Familiarity with energy commodities such as electricity, natural gas, coal, emissions, crude oil and refined products would be an advantage.

Languages

• Fluent English (written and spoken);
• Professional proficiency in French.
