As part of BMW Group IT, our team brings the latest Data Science and Generative AI technologies to the BMW Group. We explore new application areas, develop industrial use cases across all divisions, and contribute to our central AI platform. During your internship, you will contribute to strategic architecture initiatives around Generative AI and Agentic AI platforms, helping to shape the next generation of AI capabilities.

What awaits you?

  • You will be part of a professional, experienced, and international AI team.
  • Furthermore, you contribute to architecture and innovation initiatives for Generative AI and Agentic AI platforms used across BMW Group.
  • In addition, you research and stay up to date with latest developments in the Agentic AI and Generative AI ecosystem, including frameworks, protocols, and emerging technology stacks.
  • Moreover, you will support designing and implementing Proofs-of-Concept to evaluate new technologies, architectures, and approaches for enterprise adoption.
  • You will also help to analyze, prototype, and validate relevant techniques, frameworks, and standards in context of future AI platform capabilities and business use cases.

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Coding experience in Python; experience with frontend engineering frameworks such as Angular is advantageous.
  • Previous experience with Generative AI and Agentic protocols such as Model Context Protocol, Agent-to-Agent and Agent-to-UI protocols is highly desired.
  • Experience with LLM and Agentic AI SDK frameworks such as Langchain, Langgraph, CrewAI, PydanticAI and OpenAI Agents SDK is highly desired.
  • Knowledge about agent harnesses and long running agents is beneficial; experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Azure is preferred.
  • Previous experience from work, coding competitions, or projects; onsite presence in Munich required.
  • Fluent English skills; German beneficial.
