Job Description

Position Summary

The Temporary Clerk is responsible for providing general clerical support, primarily involving the organization, scanning, and filing of company documents. This position will assist with maintaining accurate and organized electronic and physical records.

This position will report to the Recruiting Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scan and electronically upload documents into designated systems or folders.
  • Organize and maintain electronic files in accordance with established procedures.
  • File and organize physical documents and records.
  • Sort, label, and prepare documents for scanning and filing.
  • Verify scanned documents are complete, legible, and properly saved.
  • Retrieve and locate documents as requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.
  • Perform other routine clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic filing systems.

Ability to organize documents accurately and efficiently.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

If this is being used for a light-duty/temporary assignment, I'd make the physical requirements match what the person will actually be doing—for example, sitting, standing, reaching for files, and handling reasonable amounts of paperwork. Avoid adding lifting requirements that aren't necessary for the position.
