Accounting Intern

Location: Bogotá, Colombia

The Accounting Intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with daily accounting and administrative activities. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting processes, account reconciliations, cash application activities, and financial systems within a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support bookkeeping activities in Oracle and local accounting systems.
• Assist with reconciliations between Oracle and local accounting records.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation activities.
• Maintain and update cashbook records.
• Assist in preparing information required for regulatory and control entities.
• Apply customer payments and withholding taxes based on supporting documentation.
• Review and monitor cash application activities completed by the Cash Applications team.
• Assist with monitoring export-related receivable accounts.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance & Accounting department.
• Support filing, documentation, and record-keeping activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (SENA)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred

• Internship or academic experience in accounting or finance.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle.
