Project Title Perspectives on energy carriers and energy sources
Goals and objectives
Describe the purpose of the internship, including goals that are preferred to achieve.
Key questions to be answered in this internship project are:
1. What is the best way to evaluate, describe and compare energy sources (e.g. by energy density, by power density, by something else)
2. What is the best way to evaluate, describe and compare end use parameters. (again, energy density, conversion efficiency etc)
3. What is the best way to evaluate, describe and compare transport of energy (as volumetric energy density, as exergy, as exergy density, as hydrogen density etc, what about electricity transport).
Deliverables:
1. A set of technology /solution selection maps similar to the energy density plot on the previous page that will better help us prioritize our workstreams and focus our efforts.
2. Technology solution maps should contain perspectives on current state of the art as well as implications of technology improvements vs thermodynamic limits.
