Job Description

This internship is designed for a motivated graduate or final-year student looking to gain practical experience in business development and bid support. The New Business Intern will work closely with the team to support sales strategies, review RFP and tender documentation, contribute to bid responses, and help prepare high-quality case studies and supporting materials. The role is ideal for someone with strong written communication, analytical thinking, and a keen interest in how businesses position themselves to win new work.

  • Support the development of sales strategies through market research, competitor analysis, and opportunity tracking.

  • Assist in preparing bid responses, presentations, and supporting submission materials.

  • Review RFPs, tender documents, and client requirements to help identify key deliverables, deadlines, and submission criteria.

  • Help coordinate bid content by gathering information from internal teams and organising inputs clearly and accurately.

  • Draft and refine project case studies, capability statements, and other business development materials.

  • Conduct background research on prospective clients, sectors, and projects to support pursuit planning.

  • Maintain trackers, document libraries, and bid support records to ensure information is current and easy to access.

  • Proofread and format documents to ensure a high standard of quality, consistency, and professionalism.

  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the new business and strategy team as needed.

Candidates should have a background in Economics, English, Business Administration, or a related discipline. This role would suit someone who is organised, curious, detail-oriented, and interested in business growth, proposal development, and strategic communications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents carefully and accurately.

  • Good analytical and research skills, with the ability to summarise information clearly.

  • Confidence working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and document formatting.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Interest in sales, business development, bidding, and strategic positioning.
