Job Description

At Fleetway Inc., our engineers play a direct role in strengthening Canada’s naval capability. As part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy and our Halifax Class Design Agent contracts, we provide essential engineering and technical data management support to the Royal Canadian Navy—work that ensures the fleet is ready to help, ready to lead, and ready to fight.

We’re looking for Intermediate and/or Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll work on technically complex, real-world marine systems alongside experienced engineers and technologists, contributing to the design, integration, and sustainment of naval vessels that serve Canada’s national defence.   • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for ship equipment and mechanical systems
  • Perform engineering design and analysis for auxiliary and ship support systems
  • Produce technical studies, specifications, surveys, and reports for government and commercial vessels
  • Evaluate mechanical systems, products, and components, including equipment selection
  • Prepare single-line diagrams and schematic drawings
  • Incorporate engineering changes into existing designs and configurations
  • Support systems integration projects across multiple engineering disciplines

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • Intermediate level: 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Senior level: 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with marine, naval, or industrial mechanical systems is considered an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, technical, and regulated environment

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
