Intermediate TypeScript Developer (Remote, Contractor) | Roomstay.io

At Roomstay.io, we're building technology that helps hotels and accommodation providers grow their direct bookings and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

As a leading hotel booking engine platform, we work with accommodation businesses across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, providing innovative solutions that simplify online reservations and maximise revenue.

We're looking for a skilled Intermediate TypeScript Developer to join our remote development team on a contract basis. If you enjoy building reliable software, solving real-world problems, and collaborating with a talented international team, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining scalable applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Building new features and enhancing existing functionality across our booking and hospitality platforms.
• Collaborating closely with developers, product stakeholders, and the wider team to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Using Git for version control and contributing to collaborative development workflows.
• Participating in agile development processes and helping solve technical challenges proactively.

What You'll Bring

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid experience using Git in a team-based development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative in a remote environment.

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With

• AWS Lambda
• Jira
• Bitbucket
• Hotel technology, booking engines, PMS, channel managers, or the wider accommodation industry
• E-commerce, SaaS, or customer-facing web applications
