Job Description

Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, is seeking a full-time Intermediate Level Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a 10-month position that includes eligibility for benefits. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a nurturing and student-centered approach, and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of students. Candidates should also demonstrate a willingness and ability to teach a variety of subject areas, collaborate with colleagues, and create engaging lessons for students. This position offers the opportunity to become part of a diverse, faith-based school community dedicated to academic excellence and character formation.

Essential Functions

  • Provides grade-appropriate instructional programs for students that adhere to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan curriculum.
  • Maintains an updated and accurate gradebook at all times.
  • Observe and assess student progress, keep detailed records observing student behaviors and academics, and share with parents.
  • Communicate in a clear, professional, and timely manner with parents and colleagues (including
    grade-level partner collaboration)
  • Support the mission of the school and the Catholic church within instructional practices.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Elementary education, or related field)
  • Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification within two years of start
    date.
  • Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary, middle, or high school
    level.
  • Familiarity with a variety of technology tools to enrich and differentiate instruction.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic Church and a willingness to support and uphold a Catholic school environment that recognizes the dignity of every human being.
