The Opportunity

Our Property and Buildings Building Services team in Canberra is looking for an Intermediate Professional, Electrical Engineering with approximately 3 to 6 years’ experience to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to build your technical capability while contributing to a diverse range of building services projects. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle and continuing to develop your career within a leading global engineering consultancy.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to projects across infrastructure, health, education, data centres and other key sectors, developing your experience across a broad and meaningful portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out electrical engineering and project work in line with relevant technical and commercial requirements.
• Undertake design and documentation for electrical building services, including power systems, lighting, communications and electronic security.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, specifications and reports.
• Apply relevant Australian Standards, Codes and project requirements to your designs.
• Coordinate with other building services and engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, authorities, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings and site inspections where required.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

About You

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Approximately 3 to 6 years’ experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience in electrical power, lighting and associated building services systems.
• Good understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Codes, including AS/NZS 3000 and the NCC.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet project deadlines and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• A proactive mindset and an interest in continuing to develop your technical and consulting capability.
