
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Manager, Strategic Policy Planning, this role is responsible for policy analysis and research using both qualitative and quantitative methods to support planning initiatives and decision-making. You will act as a resource for staff, Council and the public on policy planning matters, with a focus on Official Plan processes, heritage and transportation planning. You will be responsible for supporting growth management, policy development, and public engagement initiatives. The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a post-secondary degree in Planning or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year of related experience in land use planning, with municipal experience considered an asset, along with a strong understanding of planning processes under the Planning Act.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated analytical and research capabilities, with experience in policy analysis and data interpretation. We are seeking an individual with superior communication skills, a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
The successful candidate for Planner will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).
This position offers an hourly rate range of $54.49 to $68.11 plus a competitive benefit package.
