Our client, a prominent leader in the mining industry, is seeking a seasoned Electrical Power Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in a comparable position. The company is expanding its team and requires your expertise.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Expertise designing, analyzing, and implementing electrical power systems for at least five years
CAD software proficiency for electrical design
Knowledge of power system analysis applications like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM
Knowledge of the NEC, IEEE, and IEC codes, standards, and laws that govern electrical power systems
Create, develop, and test electrical power systems.
Using CAD software, create schematics, diagrams, and layouts for electrical systems.
Use software instruments like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM to carry out power system analysis and modeling.
For planned initiatives, carry out cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies.
Working with project managers, other engineers, and clients will help to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Examine and accept the specifications, drawings, and calculations contained in the electrical design papers.
