A growing building services consultancy based in Dublin 2 is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, offering a flexible hybrid working model. This role will involve supporting the delivery of a range of building services projects across Pharma, Commercial, Educational, Healthcare and Hospitality sectors, while working closely with senior engineers and an Associate Director. The successful candidate will bring solid technical ability, a proactive approach and 2 to 4 years’ relevant industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of electrical design solutions across commercial, pharma and other projects
• Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Assist in the development of projects from concept through to detailed design and construction
• Work closely with senior engineers and an Associate Director, gaining exposure to project coordination and client interaction
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects and other design team members
• Ensure designs comply with current Irish and European standards and regulations
• Assist with site inspections, technical queries and design reviews during construction
• Contribute to project reports, design documentation and tender packages
• Support the wider team and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in an electrical design role within a consultancy environment
• Good knowledge of building services electrical systems and relevant standards
• Experience producing electrical designs using industry standard software
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a design team
• Motivated to develop technically and progress within a consultancy environment
