Johannesburg or Cape Town | Hybrid (2–3 days in-office)

Contract Opportunity | Permanent employment may be considered

DeARX Services is looking for an experienced Intermediate AWS Platform / Integration Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within the digital banking and financial services environment.

We're looking for someone with strong AWS infrastructure and platform exposure, particularly networking, infrastructure and load balancing, combined with experience in DevOps and backend technologies.

If you have hands-on AWS experience and enjoy building, supporting and integrating cloud-based platforms, this could be your next opportunity!

KEY REQUIREMENTS

3–5 years of relevant technical experience.

AWS Platform & Infrastructure

  • AWS networking and infrastructure.
  • Load balancing and cloud platform configuration.
  • AWS DevOps exposure, ideally at Associate level.
  • Exposure to ECS, SQS, DynamoDB and MSK.

Integration & Development

  • Experience with WSO2 is advantageous.
  • Alternatively, strong Java development experience.
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations and backend services.

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE

  • AWS cloud infrastructure and platform operations.
  • DevOps practices and deployment pipelines.
  • Containerised applications and AWS ECS.
  • Messaging and event-driven architectures.
  • API management and enterprise integration technologies.
  • Experience in banking, fintech or other regulated environments.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are technically strong, analytical and comfortable working across cloud infrastructure and integration environments. You can troubleshoot issues, collaborate with engineering teams and contribute to reliable, scalable platform solutions.
