Description of the company:

Our client is a well-established, mid-to-large size Toronto architecture firm with a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, institutional, healthcare and residential work. The studio is known for technically rigorous, well-coordinated projects and a collaborative team of architects and technologists working alongside partners who are hands-on and involved in the work.

Why is this role open:

The firm has been awarded a large office interior fit-up project and is adding two intermediate team members to the project team. One position works directly with the Partner-in-Charge on a fast-paced, high-expectation project; the other is a more traditional drafting and coordination role. Both are needed as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Produce and coordinate drawing sets in Revit through design development, construction documents and permit
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical, interiors) and integrate their information into the documents
• Support the Partner-in-Charge and project team with day-to-day deliverables, keeping work moving and flagging issues early
• Ask questions, communicate progress and proactively report back rather than waiting for direction
• Assist with detailing, specifications, code review and general project administration as required

Must-haves:

• 4-8 years of Canadian architecture experience as an Architectural Technologist or Intern Architect
• Strong Revit and construction documentation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic and an engaged, proactive personality: takes ownership of assignments, asks questions and keeps the team informed
• Able to work at pace and stay organized under a demanding, detail-oriented Partner-in-Charge (Partner-facing role)
• Stable work history

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience on P3 projects (e.g., hospital or institutional) is a strong asset
• Experience with office interior fit-ups or workplace projects
• Working toward OAA licensure

Work style: 4 days minimum in office.

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000, depending on experience.

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for all roles Axis recruits for is multi-faceted and based on a range of factors including experience, skills, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include performance-based bonuses, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits offering, in accordance with applicable Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements.
