We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our in-office team in Townsville.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to manage your own client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical expertise and advisory capability.

You will:

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, trusts and partnerships
• Review junior team members’ work and provide coaching support
• Liaise directly with clients on accounting and tax queries
• Assist with tax planning and advisory projects
• Contribute commercially minded ideas to improve client outcomes
• Manage workflow with accountability for quality and timeliness

This role suits someone who enjoys both technical excellence and meaningful client relationships.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4+ years of experience in public practice accounting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and Australian tax legislation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage workflows independently.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal.
• CA/CPA qualifications (completed or currently undertaking) will be highly regarded.
