Job Description
The Interior Furniture Mover is responsible for the safe and efficient moving, installation, setup, rearrangement, and removal of furniture, office equipment, and related items within facilities. This position supports office relocations, workspace reconfigurations, event setups, and facility improvement projects while ensuring the protection of employees, furnishings, equipment, and building interiors.

- Move, transport, relocate, and arrange office furniture, workstations, equipment, and fixtures within facilities.
- Assist with office moves, departmental relocations, and workspace reconfigurations.
- Assemble, disassemble, install, and adjust modular furniture systems, desks, cubicles, tables, shelving, and seating.
- Load, unload, and transport furniture and equipment using hand trucks, dollies, carts, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment.
- Set up and tear down furniture and equipment for meetings, conferences, training sessions, and special events.
- Ensure furniture and equipment are moved without damage to walls, floors, doors, elevators, or building structures.
- Perform basic furniture repairs and adjustments, such as tightening hardware and replacing minor components.
- Maintain inventory of moving equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Follow work orders, floor plans, and layout diagrams to complete assignments accurately.
- Coordinate with facility management, occupants, and other departments to minimize disruptions during moves.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Report damaged furniture, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and ergonomic lifting practices.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in furniture moving, facilities support, warehouse operations, logistics, or related work.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move heavy objects.
- Experience using dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and basic hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, and instructions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
